HISTORY

Trinity Reformed United Church of ChristIn March, 1993, the "new" congregation of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ approved the design for the building we now love and enjoy.

This congregation was built from the membership of two historic churches: Trinity Reformed Church of Columbia, and Trinity Reformed Church of Mountville. Both of these churches had struggled over the years to maintain facilities, engage long-term pastorates, and continue the mission and ministry within their respective communities.

In 1987, Trinity Church of Mountville acquired three acres of land on the Columbia-Mountville town line. They began conversations with Trinity Reformed of Columbia to work together toward relocation of both congregations. By 1992, a Vision Statement and Plan of Union had been written and adopted.

In February, 1993, Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ was born at the first congregational meeting where plans were made for a new facility.

Today, Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ is a growing, dynamic, committed congregation of forward-thinking people who see themselves as disciples – working, serving, learning and upholding the important traditions of the past while listening for God’s new words and wisdom for today.
